The scheme will use woodchip produced locally from The Crown Estate forests, and will serve more than 60 domestic properties and a mix of commercial buildings.
The commission follows an initial feasibility report completed by Burton based Lorien, which considered viable biomass options for the Estate, along with the potential for generating wood chip from its own forestry activities.
Lorien’s team of engineers and project managers are highly experienced in the technologies and equipment required for biomass, biogas and waste to energy projects.
