New addition completes truck range
Published: 30 May, 2007
With the introduction of the new 1.4 to 2.0 tonne capacity compact models at IMHX 2007, the Linde 39X range of engine powered hydrostatic counterbalance trucks is now complete, with capacities up to 5.0 tonnes in both diesel and LPG versions.
The range combines functional design with advanced operational features and benefits that address the key logistical issues that concern those responsible for operating efficient and cost-effective supply chains.
These issues include acquisition costs, operator comfort and motivation, operating costs, productivity, energy efficiency and uptime.
On entering the operator's compartment, it is apparent the design engineers have focused on ensuring that the operator has an intuitive interface with the equipment to enable a comfortable and highly efficient operational partnership.
Seated in a full suspension, fully adjustable seat, everything is located for ease of use. Joystick hydraulic controls are integrated in an adjustable armrest, while the optional Linde short-stroke twin accelerator pedals require only small movements of the feet to produce smooth and responsive acceleration and seamless direction changes.
The compact, adjustable steering wheel and hydrostatic power steering are designed for easy travelling and manoeuvring, enabling the operator to maintain peak efficiency.
The fluid power Linde hydrostatic transmission fitted to these trucks operates without a gearbox, clutch, differential or conventional brakes and is virtually maintenance-free. This means there are far fewer moving or consumable parts. Fuel consumption is significantly reduced while productivity and uptime are optimised.
The 3 X range also has an automatic engine speed control feature precisely matching engine output to hydraulic demand, which means no excessive revving occurs when lifting loads, resulting in quieter operation, reduced fuel costs and extended engine life.
