Cofely has completed the acquisition of Balfour Beatty’s facilities management business - Balfour Beatty WorkPlace. Balfour Beatty WorkPlace was combined with Cofely’s existing UK business with the new entity operating under the Cofely brand.
The acquisition has created an enlarged Cofely business with over 15,000 employees and a turnover of close to £1bn. The new business operates within four key service areas: Energy services; technical services; facilities management and business process outsourcing, offering individual services or a fully integrated service from a single source.
Wilfrid Petrie, chief executive of Cofely UK, commented: “This acquisition creates a leading service business committed to developing innovative solutions that improve the efficiency of cities, buildings and industry. It also builds on Cofely’s leading position in energy and technical services to equip us with additional capabilities for the delivery of total facilities management services and the outsourcing of business processes. We are now better positioned to meet the evolving needs of our customers and the wider marketplace’.

COFELY reports it has secured an Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract with Molson Coors UK. The five year contract covers a comprehensive range of IFM services.
