RITTAL says a new fan speed control sensor for its TopTherm fan-and-filter units is now available. The company says this handy and compact device, which is compatible with the larger models in the range of electronically commutated (EC) TopTherm fan-and-filter units, automatically adjusts the fan speed in response to changes in temperature inside the enclosure.

Learn more about AMP6

The Water Innovation Network (WIN), a partnership between Anglian Water and Opportunity Peterborough, is inviting innovators from businesses large and small to a workshop next month to learn more about AMP6.

Green warehouse cleaning

NILFISK says warehouse and depot cleaning is definitely where it gets tough. Cleaning contractors must manage cleaning around stock that is often fast moving. In some cases the facility is operational 24/7 and cleaning must never interfere with warehouse operations.

Electrical energy savings

SPIRAX SARCO says its new White Paper explains how microturbine technology can deliver substantial electrical energy savings for steam system operators.

Emergency oxidation application

MAPAL GREEN ENERGY, a pioneer of the floating fine bubble aeration system (FFBA) has announced an important new rapid response application for its technology. The Emergency Deployment Oxidation System (EDOS) is designed for quick deployment into contaminated rivers, lakes and canals to remedy critical water oxidation levels. Maintaining water oxygenation after contamination events is usually critical, if wildlife in the water and the surrounding environment is to be protected. The system is also said to be suitable for deployment into waste water treatment plants where a serious equipment failure has occurred.

Steam pressure reduction

SPIRAX SARCO has launched a range of pressure-reducing microturbines that can generate electricity to reduce utility costs for steam system operators. Reported to be suitable for saturated or superheated steam, Spirax Sarco TR Steam MicroTurbines are available in two sizes, up to 700 kW. Higher electricity outputs are available on request.

Improved energy efficiency

Swindon based combustion equipment manufacturer, G P BURNERS, has launched a digital burner control and variable speed drive (VSD) conversion initiative. Under the programme, the company says its extensive range of analogue controlled gas fired burners may be retrofitted with a digital conversion package and VSD.

Fast-fit steam flow meter

SPIRAX SARCO has launched its Target Fixed Area (TFA) steam flow meter for smaller, point-of-use applications to help operators accurately assess energy use, reduce consumption and optimise plant performance.

Energy saving steam project

SPIRAX SARCO has delivered a project to provide the steam for heating, hot water, humidification and laundry services at a brand new, €340 million,

Steam generators

CERTUSS says all its steam generators are type tested according to European Pressure Equipment Guideline DGRL 97/23/EG. Certuss offers seven construction groups within its range of fossil fuel generators with outputs ranging from 80kg/hr to 2000kg/hr and operating pressures of up to 32 Bar G. To accompany the generator, CERTUSS also offers its CVE Package Plant Module, where all of the associated ancillary items are pre-piped, pre-wired and factory tested.

Branch circuit monitoring system

Low voltage energy specialist, SOCOMEC, has launched the latest addition to the DIRIS A range of multi-function meters – the DIRIS Branch Circuit Monitoring System (BCMS) 720 system. The DIRIS BCMS 720 can simultaneously monitor up to 72 branch circuits. Furthermore, 10 additional circuits (mains incomers) can also be monitored – all within a single device to optimise space usage.

Biomass heating commission

The Crown Estate has appointed Midlands-based LORIEN ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS to design and project manage a proposed woodchip boiler and district heating system, to be installed at Windsor Great Park.

Mobile membrane degasser

VEOLIA WATER SOLUTIONS & TECHNOLOGIES has unveiled the latest addition to its Aquamove fleet of mobile water treatment solutions. REMOX is a membrane degasser which removes carbon dioxide and oxygen from water. Reported to be the first membrane degasser available on the rental market, REMOX is housed in a fully air-conditioned standard 40ft container complete with all necessary compressed air, nitrogen and vacuum equipment. With two streams of membrane modules, REMOX can treat up to 100m3/h of water to less than 0.3mg/l dissolved carbon dioxide and up to 75m3/h to less than 0.01mg/l dissolved oxygen.
