The Engineering Services Sector was won by Scottish Power  Fleet  Business, with Metronet REW Trains Division, commended.

Businesses  in  the  sectors  also  picked  up  one  order  of  distinction,  11 president's awards, 32 gold medals, 57 gold awards, 17 silver, three bronze  and two merit awards.

Tom Mullarkey, RoSPA chief executive, said: "Organizations and businesses which not only proclaim  the importance of health and safety, but  actually  deliver consistent standards  of  health  and  safety  risk  management  deserve full recognition.

"To be judged best in sector, contenders have to demonstrate outstanding approaches to issues such as director leadership, workforce involvement and the use of professional services.”
